Heaps Good Festival 2023 showcased some of the top acts appearing in the Falls Festival lineup and added some further local talents. Despite the heat of the mid-summer sun, Adelaide punters made sure not to miss the event and were out in force from the get go to catch a glimpse of their favourite performers. Most impressively, all the acts performed with huge energy in the face of the glaring sun and security was working double time assuring safety and also providing water for the fans pressed against the rails trying to get as close as possible to their favourite artists. The indoor stage was a place of refuge from the heat which saw fans re-energised and dancing under cover as the sun went down, paving the way for the crowds to later merge outdoors for the closing performances. Everyone crammed into the arena at the main stage to see the Arctic Monkeys play the closing set, which was a fitting send off to a great day at the Adelaide Showgrounds.
