What: Rebel
Where: Wonderland Spiegeltent at Gluttony
How much: $39, concession from $28, tickets here

Back with a new show filled with acrobatics, circus tricks, excellent music, outrageous costumes, and fun, Rebel is a reliably enjoyable night for Bowie-lovers and newcomers alike. Having seen last year’s version and absolutely loved it, I was keen for another packed night.
Starting the evening with a rousing version of “Suffragette City,” Stewart Reeves nails Bowie’s particular vocal style and stage presence. He really carries the audience along the rollercoaster of music and performance with a compelling mix of comedy and intensity. The band are excellent: each time one of them picked up a new instrument after just doing some crazy trick of acrobatics was a new ‘how much talent can one person have!’ moment.
I can’t help but feel that $39 is a little steep. Pricing aside, this is show is super fun and is a great way to spend an evening for Bowie fans and newbies alike. You’ll go home and want to listen to Ziggy Stardust.
